Parental System is a parental-control service that lets a verified parent or legal guardian monitor a device used by their own minor child. This policy explains what we collect, why, the legal basis for it, and the rights you and your child have.

By creating an account and adding a child device, you agree to this policy.

1. Who may use Parental System (Acceptable Use)

Parental System may be used only by a parent or legal guardian to monitor a device belonging to, or primarily used by, their own minor child, and only where doing so is lawful where you live.

You may not use Parental System to monitor any other person — including another adult, a spouse or partner, an employee, or any person without the legal right to consent on their behalf. Doing so may be a serious crime (including under wiretap and computer-misuse laws). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.

When you add a child device you must confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the monitoring. We record this consent (see Section 5).

2. Information we collect

We collect information from the monitored child device that you have set up, which may include:

We collect this data to provide the monitoring features you enable. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Note on third parties in communications: message, call, and audio features may capture information about people other than your child (for example, the other party to a conversation). Laws in many places restrict recording or intercepting communications without the consent of all parties. You are responsible for using these features lawfully.

3. How we use information

We use the information to:

4. Legal bases (where GDPR / UK GDPR applies)

We rely on: consent (which you may withdraw at any time), performance of a contract (to provide the service to you), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, balanced against the rights of data subjects. For a child's personal data we treat the child's rights as paramount and apply the protections in Sections 5 and 8.

5. Children's privacy and verifiable parental consent (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Parental System knowingly collects a child's personal information only after the parent/guardian provides consent. When you add a child we ask for the child's date of birth. If the child is under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), we require your verifiable parental consent before any data is collected, and we store a timestamped, non-editable record of that consent.

As the consenting parent/guardian you may at any time:

If we learn we have collected a child's data without the required parental consent, we will delete it.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

We do not otherwise disclose your or your child's data to third parties.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. Captured media (photos, audio, screen captures) and monitoring records are retained until you or we delete them, or until your account is deleted. When you delete your account (Section 8) we delete the associated data as described there. We may retain a minimal consent/erasure record where required to demonstrate legal compliance.

8. Your rights and choices (access, deletion, withdrawal)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent.

9. Data security

We protect data with authentication, access-control rules that limit each account to its own data, encryption in transit, and server-side verification of sensitive actions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours (including the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Effective date / Version" above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
